General - Poster Restoration

I've found a source for original Stalin-era 1950s Soviet movie posters is varying conditions. Most are printed on paper that is tissue thin. Any advice on restoring or mounting them?

I'd recommend that you check out the linen backing and restoration thread on Movie Poster Forum, click here. It'll give you a good idea of services provided, typical costs, and restorers that come highly recommended. Do not take them to a frame shop and get talked into getting them dry mounted, which is a sure way for them to lose all their value.[/u]
